Prayer Focus

July

As Blenheim Scouts celebrate 60 years this year, give thanks for all the boys who have been members over the years and all those who have given their time to leading and helping.

Pray for the celebration parade service at Blenheim at 10:30 on Sunday 3rd July, for all those who will be taking part and the Scouts and their families who will be attending.

Also continue to pray for the young people who come to Scouts at Blenheim today, that their experiences now will be of lasting benefit to them in the future.

Continue to pray for their leaders, that they may be able to lead wisely, set a good example and be energy, enthusiasm and ideas for the work they are doing.

YOUNG PEOPLE

Please pray for all the uniformed organisations that use our premises, for the Rainbows, Brownies, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts:

  • for the safety of all the young people while they are on our premises and that they will enjoy and learn from activities;
  • for all the leaders and helpers that they will work well together as a team and be strengthened in their work;
  • for good attendances at parade services and closer relationships between the organisations and the church.

Pray for the young people who attend our church services and belong to Kids’ Club and Kids’ Praise:

  • that they will enjoy coming and discover more about Jesus through what they experience at church;
  • for their teachers, that they may be able to build loving, encouraging relationships with the young people, and inspire them through their teaching.

Pray for the parents and toddlers who meet at the church on a Thursday morning, for those who lead this group, and for opportunities to share the love of Jesus with these families.

Continue to remember in your prayers the work of LCET with young people in the town, praying especially for the summer camp ‘On the Edge’ at Alton Castle on 26th- 30th July:

  • that there will be enough sponsors to enable those who cannot afford to pay to take part in this camp;
  • for all the planning and preparation, that everything will go smoothly;
  • for the protection of everyone while they are away;
  • that the young people will experience something of the love of Jesus;
  • for inspiration, patience and stamina for the leaders.

Also please pray for all the LCET team, that they will have an opportunity to rest and reflect during the summer, and be inspired by fresh vision for the new term in September

Urban Saints, based in Luton, will be running a number of holidays for young people during the summer period.

If you would like to know more about these or other activities run by Urban Saints, and would like to support them in prayer, please consult their website at or speak to John Rose about it.
