OCTOBER

On the morning of October 8^th there will be a Church Audit meeting beginning with prayer @8 and breakfast. Please support this morning in prayer.

Please pray for:

• those taking part in the meeting that they will know God’s guidance as they pray and discuss together;
• a sense of direction for the church as we look ahead into the future, that we may have a clear vision of the path that God wants us to follow;
• for inspiration and wisdom for Frank and the deacons as they lead the church through the next stages of the audit.

Please pray for those who do not have sufficient to eat because of failed harvests, especially those who have worked hard but seen their livelihoods destroyed by war, flood, or the effects of climate change.

Also please pray for the work of BMS World Mission, especially for:

• Alex Vickers as he supports farmers in northern Uganda as they rebuild their farms after years of conflict in the region;
• practical and spiritual help being given to communities in Peru after floods destroyed their crops (Find out more in our Harvest service on 9^th October)

On Saturday 15^th October the Biscot Mill group of churches will be collecting food donations for LAMP (Luton Accommodation and Moving On Project).

Please pray for this weekend:

• that it will be well supported and people will give generously;

• for the Joint Biscot Mill Churches Together service on Sunday 16^th October at St.Margaret’s Methodist Church;

Also please continue to pray for the work of LAMP:

• for the 51 young people currently being supported in accommodation, that they will be given the help they need with life-skills, career choices and finance;

• that appropriate rented accommodation will be found for all those in need of somewhere to live;

• for the homelessness prevention workshops being held in local secondary schools;

• for the floating support teams working with young people in temporary council accommodation.
