This is the month when we elect our diaconate. Please pray:

for our pastor, secretary and treasurer as they fulfil their responsibilities, that they may know the strength and guidance of God as they balance the different priorities in the work they do;
for the diaconate elections, that we may know who God is calling to fulfil this role;
for all of our leadership team, that they may work well together; that God will lead and inspire them to a shared vision of the way ahead; and that he will give grant them wisdom in the decisions they have to make.

On 14th November we are hosting a concert by the Pasque Harmony choir.

Please pray:

for people suffering from terminal or long-term debilitating or life-threatening illnesses, for their healing and for strength and peace during treatment;

for doctors, nurses and all other health professionals and volunteers who work in hospitals, hospices and in people’s homes, especially those working with those who are seriously ill or dying;

for the adult and children’s hospices in Luton, that they may be able to provide care and support for those who need it;

for the choir and all who raise money to support the hospice and for a well-attended, successful concert.

In the month when we remember the sacrifices of war, please pray:

for those who are anxious about the safety of family members or friends who are serving overseas;
for members of our armed forces, especially for those facing daily dangers in Afghanistan;

for those who have been bereaved;
for soldiers who have been injured or traumatised
as they try to recover and rebuild their lives;
for the people of Afghanistan, that they may know
peace, stability and freedom;
for all areas of conflict and violence, that there may be justice and peace.
